This site is static files. It sets no cookies and runs no scripts.
What is collected
Nothing is collected by the site itself. There is no JavaScript on any page, no analytics, no advertising network, no embedded social widgets, no fonts loaded from a third-party domain, and no cookies are set. Typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so visiting a page does not disclose the visit to anyone other than the host.
Server logs
The web server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs, which ordinarily include the requesting IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These are used to operate the site and diagnose faults.
Links out
Articles link to primary sources on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not extend to them.
Crawlers
Search crawlers, including those that answer questions with citations, are permitted. Crawlers that collect text for model training are disallowed in robots.txt.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected by the site, there is nothing to request access to, correct or delete. Requests relating to server log entries can be sent to the address on the contact page, and will be handled by the operator of the hosting account, who is the controller of those logs.
Children
Several sections of this site are about children and technology, but the site is written for adults and collects nothing from anyone, including children. There is no account, no sign-up and no submission of any kind.
Why this matters here
This site publishes material about tracking, data brokers and the gap between what people believe about online privacy and what they can actually verify. It would be difficult to write that honestly while running a page that loads third-party scripts. Every technical decision described above follows from that, not from a legal minimum.
